The Bundle of Sticks

An elderly person had three children. They were diligent employees yet consistently battled. He would never join them. He then became sick and requested that his children join together.

They ignored him. He chose to show them a thing or two to make peace. He provided them with a heap of sticks and advised them to break it into two. Whoever completes first would win. They immediately rehashed this and began battling.

He then provided them with one more heap of sticks and advised them to break it as a pack and not independently. Regardless of their earnest attempts, they couldn't make it happen. He let them know it was not difficult to independently break the sticks. However, assuming you stay joined together, nobody can hurt you. They at long last grasped the worth of solidarity.
